How does FormatPaste detect the language?
It looks for strong signals first: an opening <?php tag means PHP, an <?xml declaration means XML, common HTML tags mean HTML, SQL keywords such as SELECT ... FROM mean SQL, and input that parses as JSON is treated as JSON. Everything else falls back to YAML, CSS, TypeScript, or JavaScript patterns.
Which formatter style does it use?
Code is formatted with Prettier-style rules: two-space indentation, consistent spacing around operators, and line breaks for long statements. Each language page uses the same rules, so switching between auto and a specific language gives the same result.
